With the new Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 coming out soon, I thought I would put together a little review for fans out there and post a few trailer videos for you to watch.
Modern Warfare 3 releases November 8th 2011 and is now available for pre-order. You can pre-order it now for xbox or PS3.
A couple new Modern Warfare 3 features that are being added this year are Strike Packages and Multiplayer Maps.
With the new strike packages include the following:
The Classic Kill Streak – As you build up a streak, that allows you to use weapons that kill the opposing team.
Support Kill Streak – You rank up your kill streak by doing support tasks (capturing objectives, saving people from death, etc.). You don’t lose your streak when you die, so it keeps on going up and up. You earn items that will support your team in the match, things like bulletproof vests and advanced UAVs.
Specialist Kill Streak – As you kill enemies, you get access to more and more perks. If you kill eight opponents in a row without dying, you get access to eight perks at the same time. A venerable super man that will be a force to reckon with. This streak, unlike the Support Kill Streak resets when you die. This streak was described to us as being perfect for lone wolf players that try to be a one-man army.
With multiplayer maps you get the following:
Underground – A small subway station in London. The station is destroyed and subway cars are tossed about across the tracks. Players navigate some of the subway tunnels, as well as a large above-ground subway station.
Village – A large African village with caves and small huts. In a way, it felt like Resident Evil 5.
Resistance – A Parisian district that was the most fun map to play. It sports multiple elevations and close, winding streets.
Dome – A small outpost in the desert. It reminded me of Rust.
Arkaden – A medium-sized German mall.
