Top EverQuest dueo: Mage and Enchanter box
One my favorite EverQuest boxes is the Mage and Enchanter dueo. The Mage provides great dps,damage shields, call of hero, and a pet to help distribute agro,
while the Enchanter provides great haste and mind buffs. This combination played right can be very solid, especially if your also using mercenaries.
I typically have a tank and cleric mercenary to assist me in my grind unless I find a real life players to join me. I’ll pull with the Enchanter using tash, run the mob
back to my group. The tank merc then grabs agro, and allows me to step back and switch over to the mage. I then send in my mage pet and start nuking the mob
using both the Mage and Enchanter.
I always use an earth pet when doing this because the earth pet will root the mob preventing it from being able to run and agro more mobs or turn and attack my
characters. If I pull more then I can handle I can simple mezz the additional mobs using the wonderful mesmerization spells of the Enchanter.
I do not typically load up an Enchanter pet because the chanter pet can cause problems when pulling.
It’s helpful also to make sure you have your instant gate AA’s incase things get really ugly. I would also recommend you get the AA that allows you’re pets to receive
group buffs. This will help prevent waisting your time and mana on buffing the pets separately.
